The malleable splint makes immobilization of the limb much easier and more accurate than any other material. It is a long piece of special thin aluminum sheet, surrounded on both sides with special hypoallergenic foam material. It can be shaped into any form depending on the case of the injured limb. It can be cut with scissors if needed. After use, it is rolled back into its original shape for storage until the next use.

It is a radiolucent splint, so it does not need to be removed during X-ray procedures. It is particularly lightweight and thus can and should be included in any First Aid kit.
