The North American Jerry Drake, or Mister No, is a fictional character from Italian comics created in 1975. He experienced many adventures during World War II, where he fought as a soldier, pilot, and member of the American secret services in various locations. He was eventually named Mister No by his comrades and his opponents, due to his pride and stubborn refusal to submit to orders.
In early 1945, he was repatriated. He crossed the U.S. and, worn out by the mistakes of the war, disgusted by the violence of the Western world, and completely unable to adapt to a normal life in his homeland, he decided to settle in Manaus, Brazil, to live his life on his own terms, in a place that some people call the last frontier of civilization.
