Description

Packaging 10ml (or 50ml, 100ml & 500ml) containing 100% edible Sage Essential Oil. Sage, scientifically known as Salvia Officinalis, is a perennial shrub with numerous branches and thick, elongated, fluffy olive-green leaves. It is primarily found in dry and rocky places of the Greek countryside.

The essential oil of Sage is derived from the distillation of the herb and its flowers, has a sweet, herbal scent, and possesses bactericidal, antifungal, and antiviral properties. Sage essential oil calms the nervous system and is recommended for cases of depression, anxiety, insomnia, and painful periods. It helps to reduce hot flashes, night sweats, irritability, headaches, and dizziness.

Inhaling its aroma has mucolytic and anti-catarrhal effects, which is why it is recommended in cases of flu, colds, etc. According to research by British scientists, it has been proven to enhance memory function and concentration. Additionally, it is believed that its aroma stimulates sexual desire.

Besides burning it, Sage essential oil can relieve muscle pains, lower back pain, neck stiffness, cramps, and dysmenorrhea by adding 2-3 drops to massage oil or body lotion. It is also used in facial creams, primarily for oily skin, to balance sebum production and act astringently.

It can be added to shampoos to revitalize the natural color of hair without damaging the strands or burdening the skin with harmful chemicals. Sage essential oil is very potent, and in large amounts, it can cause toxicity. With only 2 drops in 100 ml of water, it can be used for gargles and rinses, in treating toothaches and oral wounds.

Sage essential oil blends very well with:

  • Rosemary
  • Oregano
  • Bay Laurel
  • Lavender
  • Pine
  • Jasmine
