Patchouli essential oil is extracted through steam distillation of the dried leaves of the plant and has a dark orange color, with a sweet, spicy, and exotic aroma. It is an excellent product with various therapeutic properties. It is recommended as a venotonic for edema, varicose veins, and heavy calves, while it is believed to help reduce sweating and hot flashes during menopause.
