When a young nun commits suicide in a Romanian monastery, a priest with a troubled past and a novice nun are sent by the Vatican to investigate her death. However, along the way, they uncover a series of guilty secrets. Risking not only their lives but also their faith and their very souls, they battle the demonic forces that appear in their path, taking the form of the demonic nun who terrorized audiences in "The Conjuring 2." At the same time, the monastery becomes a terrifying battleground between the living and the damned.
