    It is placed by color in the printer's tanks and can remain for quite a while without any printing being done (in my case 2 months) without any alteration in its behavior.

    They produce many thousands of pages.
    I am a student and in every exam I print over 1000 pages, not to mention other documents on a daily basis, and always in color (rarely black and white).
    In 1.5 years, I have only refilled once, maybe 1.5 times (meaning I fill up one color that has been consumed more, while leaving the others in their quantity inside the printer since they may still have a satisfactory amount left).
    The black one seems endless..
