    I preferred it because it has digital temperature control and two temperature scales, reaching up to 600 degrees. It also shows you the current temperature and as it heats up...

    I think it's generally a bit big, a little bigger than my large wall drill.

    Sturdy good construction, easy to grip, lightweight... it has two legs to stand it upright for work without holding it.

    On the negative side, it doesn't have a bag/case and it only has two tips, and it's expensive for not having a case.

    I bought it to remove oil paint from old kitchen cabinets from the 70s. At full power (600 degrees), it takes 2-5 seconds to inflate 2 layers of paint + primer, and using a scraper/spatula, the paint comes off easily. After 20-30 minutes of continuous use, the handle and body of the device didn't even get warm. From cold to 600 degrees (max), it takes about 15-20 seconds.
