It does a good job with swelling, and it helps that I keep it in the fridge. Essentially, it helps at the moment you apply it and not in the long term, so there’s no point in applying it before going to bed. It is somewhat oily and watery at the same time, and you need only a tiny amount, so it lasts a long time. It doesn’t absorb immediately, it takes 1-2 minutes. You need an eye cream on top.
It doesn’t do anything special for dark circles, but I don’t have a big issue with them.

Nothing impressive.. on the plus side, the large quantity. Definitely needs another eye cream on top for hydration. It doesn't seem to do anything for puffiness though.

Oh, the best thing I have tried for dark circles! I apply it in the morning under my eyes (also on the upper eyelid) before my moisturizer, and immediately feel the difference! Also, because it contains caffeine, my eyelashes have grown longer too!
Avoid using it with products that react (see The Ordinary's instructions for this).
WARNING: It may not work for some people because they may not need caffeine, but retinol instead. Do the test with a pinch under the eyes. If the color fades, you need caffeine. If not, retinol.
