Description

Expansion tanks are used to maintain the pressure of the central supply network within acceptable limits. Maintaining the pressure is necessary for:

  • compensating for water losses in the system caused by bleedings in radiators or micro-leaks.
  • collecting excess water generated due to water expansion when the temperature increases.

They are manufactured and tested in accordance with the current European Regulation. They are used in water supply circuits. They feature a replaceable EPDM membrane, which prevents contact between water and metal walls and keeps the circuit fluid clean.

The connection opening has a diameter of 3/4”. Their maximum operating pressure is 10 bar. Their operating temperature is -10 to +100oC.

Purchased in 2025, produced in 2024, and it is in excellent condition inside (Anything strange is due to the photo). Now time will tell how long it will last.

From the very good expansion tanks I would say. I have used it in a 160lt solar water heater. Every year, like all tanks, it needs to be filled with air at the required pressure.

The solar water heater no longer raises pressures beyond 4.8 Bar. However, the expansion tank should probably be covered with some construction to withstand over time!
