The PGP FAUX WOOD PRIMER is a primer that prepares the surface and provides the background for the application of the PGP FAUX WOOD FINISH wood imitation technique. It has excellent adhesion, coverage, and offers rust protection. It is used on all kinds of hard surfaces. Available in 3 shades that match the 6 shades of PGP FAUX WOOD FINISH.

APPLICATIONS

• Ideal solution for renewing old or worn-out surfaces, providing the beauty and warmth of a wooden appearance.
• Applies to metal surfaces, MDF, chipboard, melamine, wooden and plastic surfaces, drywall, concrete, plaster, etc.

Surface preparation

• Surfaces must be dry and clean, free from foreign materials (rust, oils, greases, salts, dust, etc.).
• New wooden surfaces: must be sanded and dust removed.
• Painted surfaces: old substrates in good condition do not need to be removed. If they have issues, they should be removed with a solvent, surfaces sanded, and dust removed.
• Metallic and shiny surfaces: Gloss should be removed with sandpaper to improve adhesion and dust removed.

Application

• Mix the material well before and during use.
• The PGP FAUX WOOD PRIMER is applied with a brush along the entire surface using long strokes.
• For better protection, you can apply a second coat, allowing the first coat to dry for at least 12 hours. High humidity or low temperatures will prolong drying time.
• On the painted surface, apply the PGP FAUX WOOD FINISH to create the wood look.

Dilution: up to 15% with white spirit

Initial drying: 2 - 3 hours at 20°C

Final drying: 12 hours at 20°C
