In PopStar Guitar, players take on the role of aspiring guitarists with ambitions to become the ultimate pop sensation.

Throughout the game, players develop skills that help them achieve their goal of stepping onto the stage of the global Battle of the Bands competition, gaining international fame.

In career mode, the player starts as a member of a garage band and then tours 25 different locations before performing at the Battle of the Bands.

The game features 12 character options (6 male/6 female), with the ability to customize their appearance and the instruments they play.

The gameplay is similar to other music games, where players try to hit buttons by following notes that roll down the screen.

The Wii version will come with an AirG controller shell, allowing players to play in air guitar style using only the Wii Remote and Nunchuk.
