Description

  • Traditional Japanese double-edged wood cutting hand saw RYOBA.
  • The RYOBA saw is highly valued for its versatility, as it combines two specialized functions into one exceptionally capable tool.
  • The high-quality blade features two cutting edges, the first with a 10TPI (teeth per inch) tooth configuration for cutting parallel to the wood grain and the opposite with a 16TPI tooth configuration for cutting perpendicular to the wood grain.
  • Shogun saws with impulse-hardened teeth (hardness approximately Hv900-950) provide much longer life than teeth on common saws.
  • As with all Japanese saws, cutting is performed only when the saw is pulled towards the user, as a result, Japanese saws have blades that are thinner, lighter, and smoother resulting in faster cutting & cleaner cuts.
  • The saw is traditionally equipped with a wooden handle.
  • Blade length: 240mm.
  • Blade thickness: 0.5mm.
  • Kerf: 0.75mm.
  • Blade teeth: 10 Tpi (Rip) / 16 Tpi (Cross).
  • Pitch 1.5mm.
  • Overall length 600mm.
  • Country of origin Japan.
