- Traditional Japanese double-edged wood cutting hand saw RYOBA.
- The RYOBA saw is highly valued for its versatility, as it combines two specialized functions into one exceptionally capable tool.
- The high-quality blade features two cutting edges, the first with a 10TPI (teeth per inch) tooth configuration for cutting parallel to the wood grain and the opposite with a 16TPI tooth configuration for cutting perpendicular to the wood grain.
- Shogun saws with impulse-hardened teeth (hardness approximately Hv900-950) provide much longer life than teeth on common saws.
- As with all Japanese saws, cutting is performed only when the saw is pulled towards the user, as a result, Japanese saws have blades that are thinner, lighter, and smoother resulting in faster cutting & cleaner cuts.
- The saw is traditionally equipped with a wooden handle.
