Very nice and well-made game. It has many quality pieces inside, and it offers variations to keep things interesting. There are many combinations of colors, shapes, and ways to collect points. Our 7-year-old enjoys playing it too!

Very beautiful game for the whole family. Its illustration is beautiful and makes a nice click to the eye.

Even for my 5-year-old son, it is fun, even if we don't play with the main objectives, but the more "friendly" version. Even so, he understands that he needs to make color triples and score points.

Its pieces are very high quality, the rules are SUPER easy, it sets up and takes down very easily, and the games last about 40 minutes until the kids think about their next move.

For the adults, there is the challenge with the main objectives and it has plenty of puzzles and strategic thinking. So it's not that simple to "tame" it.

There isn't a very strong take that element, although you can "mess up" the opponent's way of playing.

The communication between players is minimal, unless the kids are playing, in which case we help them a bit by giving them an alternative.

Overall, to settle the family and have a pleasant 2 hours, it's just what you need. I highly recommend it.

While it has a nice theme and resembles games like Azul (which is one of my favorites), we didn't like it at all: it relies too much on luck and is very unbalanced.

I dressed my own copy with a plastic book cover. It's not a game for unruly children. It has many pieces and if one is lost, you lose the whole point. There are 4 boards and it is aimed at groups or families of up to 4 people (In my group, we play up to 8 in pairs). It's not for everyone, it's very difficult and every time we gather as a group in a café with board games and I ask for this game, they mock me and make fun of me from the neighboring tables. The rules are simple in theory and difficult in practice. A game with 4 boards can last more than an hour....
If it is purchased by an individual and after a few games, the family or group and your pet cats abandon it (This happened to me). It's okay, it has rules for a game with only one player.
Overall, Calico is a board game definition for board games.

Don't be fooled by the cute cats! It is quite demanding in gameplay! Luckily, there are alternative rules for beginners and it becomes somewhat manageable, otherwise it is not an easy game.

The game has a very nice flow, it requires thought for each move in order to match your tiles and achieve accomplishments, as well as collect kittens and buttons!
Our first game was very entertaining and I really recommend it for enjoyable family afternoons, as well as solo mornings with mom's morning coffee!!

Nice and easy game. The puzzle is also good. Good quality. I don't know how long it will last. My wife loves it and asks for it constantly. I am a bit more neutral, but it's purely a personal matter.

Very smart abstract game, excellent construction, beautiful components.
Quite easy to learn, but it hides a lot of thinking in the moves you make. It's hard to get bored with it since it has plenty of variations.
