Description

The DFRobot IO Expansion HAT provides digital, analog, I2C, PWM, UART, and SPI ports to meet all your needs. It is compact in size and suitable for Raspberry Pi Zero/Zero W.

The board exposes the I/O ports of the Raspberry Pi, including I2C, UART, SPI, and digital ports, of which the digital ports are exposed through the GPIO16~GPIO25 (BCM) of the Raspberry Pi, allowing these ports to be used directly. Additionally, the PWM and analog ports are exposed through the built-in STM32 MCU, which can communicate with the Raspberry Pi via I2C. By combining with the relevant libraries, users are able to easily control PWM output or read ADC input.

This expansion board supports 5V power supply and 3.3V sensor modules. The PWM port can be powered by an external source (6~12V) or by the Raspberry Pi (5V).

Features:

  • Built-in MCU (STM32), providing 12 bit 8 channels ADC
  • Control of multiple servo motors
  • Support for external PWM power supply (6~12V)
  • Support for Raspberry Pi 4 Model B/Raspberry Pi 3B+/2 and Raspberry Pi Zero/Zero W

Specifications:

  • MCU: STM32F030
  • Power Supply: Expansion Power Voltage: 5V
  • External PWM Power Supply: 6~12V
  • Expansion Port Output Voltage: 3.3V
  • 22 Ports: 4 PWM ports, 4 analog ports, 10 digital ports, 1 SPI, 2 I2C ports, 1 UART
  • Device Address: 0x10
  • Dimensions: 65*30mm/2.56*1.18”
