The Raspberry PI SIM800 GSM/GPRS Add-on V2.3 is specifically designed for the Raspberry Pi interface, based on the SIM800 quad-band GSM/GPRS/BT module. AT commands can be sent via the Raspberry Pi's serial port, allowing the capability to make and receive calls, send and receive messages, and browse the internet. Additionally, the module supports activation and reset via software.

Indicators:

• PWR: Power indicator: When the board is properly powered, the indicator remains on.
• STATUS: SIM800 status: When the SIM800 operates normally, the indicator remains on.

Keys:

• PWRKEY: SIM800 power key: Press and hold the key for more than 1 second to turn on the SIM800.
• RST: SIM800 reset key: Press the key to reset the SIM800.

Expansion:

• External power supply: Connect an external power supply of at least 5V/2A to this micro USB port if the SIM800 disconnects during operation.
• Firmware upgrade port: This is only for upgrading the SIM800 firmware.
