RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is the wireless non-contact use of radio frequency electromagnetic fields to identify and track tags attached to objects. The ID-3LA is a very user-friendly RFID reader module from ID Innovations. The only requirements are a 2mm distance between the pins and the need for an external antenna. Power the module, hold a 125kHz card, and receive a serial alphanumeric output containing the unique ID of the card.
