The device is suitable for estimating the level of nutrients in the soil of vegetable or ornamental plants in pots through a light indicator. It measures the electrical conductivity of the soil and calculates whether the quantity of nutrients is sufficient.
Instructions for use:
- Insert the probe into the soil and press the button.
- If a red light turns on, then there is an excess of nutrients, if a green light turns on, the quantity of nutrients is sufficient, while if a yellow light turns on, fertilization is needed.
- It can be used for any type of plants, indoor or outdoor, that are planted in pots except for orchids, succulents, or seedlings.
- Before use, the soil should be uniformly moist (watered at least 30 minutes before measurement), the probe of the device clean, and the temperature between 18-23°.
- It is very important to clean the probe after use, not to leave it in the soil, and to store the device in a dry place to prevent oxidation.
- Since its operation is based on measuring electrical conductivity, when the metal probe starts to become dull, it should be carefully cleaned with a slightly damp sponge and dried with a soft cloth.
- A 9V battery type 6LR61 is required (not included).
