The vineyards of the estate are located in the mountainous Achaia, at an altitude between 750-900 meters, 50 kilometers away from the mountainous village of Kalavryta. They cover part of a peak where the mountain masses of Panachaiko, Helmos, and Erymanthos meet. A microclimate with very cool nights and mildly warm days allows for a long ripening period of the grapes.
The irregular topography with large slopes and very good drainage creates an ideal environment for low yields, less than 1 kilo of grapes per vine, and concentrated aromas. The Antonopoulos Vineyards have a state-of-the-art winery in Vassilikos, Achaia.
In Demesticha, Achaia, at an altitude of 750 - 900 meters. The soil is sandy-clay and calcareous with production ranging around 700 kilos per hectare. Extraction for 6 hours, fermentation in stainless steel tank at low temperature, separated from the wine lees and bottled.
The wine-producing native grape varieties of Greece are one of the main factors for the diversity and uniqueness of Greek wines. The native grape varieties of Greece are hundreds, making the country one of the most "polyvarietal" in wine production and the Greek vineyard one of the richest in the world.
A rare white variety, Pavlos, found in the islands of the Ionian Sea. It participates along with other varieties in blends. Here we have an excellent monovarietal version of it.
