Description

The Adafruit Feather nRF52 Pro is a Bluetooth Low Energy board for advanced projects and users who want to use a fully open-source Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0 stack. It features a native Bluetooth chip, the nRF52832, as well as built-in USB Serial and battery charging.

This board is special - unlike the rest of the Feather family, it is not intended for use with Arduino IDE but only with Mynewt. It has been programmed with the Mynewt bootloader and the hardware has been updated to add an SWD connector and an additional DFU button. Advanced users will work with the Mynewt RTOS, and transitioning to Arduino is not easy without an SWD programmer.

This board features dual flash memory, SRAM, and performance compared to the early nRF51-based modules. It can execute complex projects with rapid development due to the additional computational power. It is designed to work with the Apache Mynewt operating system, which includes professional networking stacks, development tools, and project management features.

  • ARM Cortex M4F (with HW floating point acceleration) running at 64MHz
  • 512KB flash and 64KB SRAM
  • Built-in USB Serial converter for quick programming and debugging
  • Bluetooth Low Energy compatible 2.4GHz radio station
  • FCC / IC / TELEC certified module
  • Up to +4dBm output power
  • Operating from 1.7v to 3.3v with onboard voltage regulators
  • 19 GPIO, 8 x 12-bit ADC pins, up to 12 PWM outputs
  • Red LED for general use
  • Dimensions 2.0" x 0.9" x 0.28" (51mm x 23mm x 8mm)
  • Lightweight, only 5.7 grams
  • SWD connection for debugging
  • 100% open-source firmware when used with Apache Mynewt
