Description

The YAMAHA C-40II Black is the most recognized choice worldwide for those beginning their journey into the world of classical guitar. With a 4/4 size and an impressive black glossy finish, it combines aesthetic superiority with Yamaha's top-quality craftsmanship. It features a spruce top and a Rosewood fingerboard, offering a balanced and warm sound. Its excellent ergonomics and soft string action make it the ideal instrument for conservatory students, ensuring a pleasant and effective learning experience.

The Global Choice for Conservatory Students

The Yamaha C series, and specifically the C-40II, has rightfully earned the title of the most popular classical guitar for beginners. Its success is based on its ability to offer professional quality standards at an extremely affordable price. Music teachers highly recommend it, as the precision in the construction of the neck and the correct string height help the new player develop proper technique effortlessly. With the C-40II Black, the student holds in their hands an instrument that remains stable in tuning and reliable over time.

Impressive Black Finish and Design

This special edition of the C-40II comes in an elegant black color (Black) with a glossy finish (Gloss), giving a modern and "serious" feel to the classic instrument. Its aesthetics go beyond the ordinary, making it stand out in every appearance. Its design follows the traditional lines of a full-size classical guitar, with an overall length of 995mm and a body width of 370mm. The quality of the paint is excellent, protecting the wood while at the same time allowing the instrument to resonate with clarity and power.

Quality Construction Materials for a Full Sound

Despite its affordable price, the YAMAHA C-40II uses carefully selected materials that guarantee a rich timbre. The spruce top is responsible for the crystal-clear reproduction of high frequencies, while the back and sides made of selected tonewood offer depth and warmth. The fingerboard and bridge are made of Rosewood (Dalbergia latifolia), a wood renowned for its durability and the smooth feel it provides under the fingers. This combination of materials creates a sound that is both powerful and melodic.

Comfort and Ergonomics in Playing

The geometry of the C-40II is designed to facilitate the musician. The width of the upper saddle (Nut) at 52mm (2 1/16") provides the necessary space between the strings for clean chords and comfortable fingerstyle playing. The scale length of 650mm follows international standards, making it easy to transition to any other classical guitar in the future. The body depth, ranging between 94-100mm, ensures that the guitar fits the player's body properly, whether sitting in a traditional posture or more freely, offering comfort even after hours of practice.

Reliable Mechanical Parts and Tuners

Yamaha has equipped the C-40II with chrome-plated tuners (RM-1252X) of high precision. These tuners ensure that the guitar holds its tuning, which is crucial for beginner players who are not yet fully familiar with the tuning process. The pre-installed medium tension strings offer the perfect balance between sound intensity and ease of play, protecting the student’s fingers from excessive fatigue. Every detail, from the bridge to the nut, is designed to provide maximum functionality.

Technical Specifications and Yamaha Quality

The YAMAHA C-40II Black is manufactured under the strict supervision of Yamaha’s luthiers, ensuring consistent quality in every piece. With weight and dimensions ideal for the 4/4 size, it is suitable for adults and children aged 11-12 and above. Its glossy finish is easy to clean and withstands everyday use. By choosing a Yamaha guitar, you are investing in an instrument that has been tested by millions of musicians and has remained the standard in music education for decades. This is a purchase with guaranteed resale value and unquestionable performance.

Very good guitar but I suspect that they sent me the model c 1 (that's what the sticker inside said) instead of the model c 2. When I contacted the store, they told me that this is normally the c2, it just changes the code based on the factory production. All in all, though, even if they tricked me with the model, I am very happy with the instrument.

The best thing for a beginner, don't fall into the trap and get plastic ones for 60 euros, they sound terrible. This specific one is very good value for money. I recommend it.

Considered one of the best, if not the best, entry-level guitar models. I'm not an expert to support it, but after thorough market research, this is what I ended up with. They say it's the best you can get for the money, and on top of that, you actually get a guitar and not... firewood.
