Description

Pharmaplast Ultra eXsorb is a non-woven coated dressing featuring a breathable waterproof layer. It is virus-resistant and has bacterial protection, with a central absorbent pad. It is made from a blend of superabsorbent acrylic fibers and viscose fibers, thermally laminated onto a transparent PE mesh.

The dressing absorbs wound exudate, forming a soft, hydrophilic, breathable gel layer that provides a moist environment for easier healing. The frequency of changing the dressing depends on the wound condition:

  • For wounds with necrotic tissue or heavy exudate, the dressing should be changed daily.
  • For wounds with lower exudate, it can remain in place for a longer period.

Precautions: Wounds showing signs of clinical infection should be dressed, but the dressing needs daily changing and possibly systemic antibiotic treatment. Do not use in cases of known sensitivity to Pharmaplast Ultra eXsorb or any of its components.
