Description

50ml packaging containing Coltsfoot Tincture. The coltsfoot tincture is derived from the immersion of the aerial parts of coltsfoot in an alcoholic solution (grappa) for a period of 4-6 weeks. During this time, the active ingredients of the above herbs dissolve into the alcoholic solution, resulting in the creation of the tincture.

Coltsfoot (Tussilago farfara), also known as Coughwort, is a herbaceous, perennial plant with yellow flowers that resemble small daisies. It grows in moist soils, mainly in Europe and northern Asia. In our country, it is widely found in the spring at high altitudes. Its flowers have a pleasant aroma and a sweet, aromatic taste.

They contain arnidol, faradiol, tannin, mucilage, flavonoids, taraxanthin, and essential oil. Coltsfoot has been known since ancient times primarily as a remedy for respiratory problems. The Greek physician Dioscorides and Hippocrates recommended it for the treatment of chronic cough, catarrh, sore throat, bronchitis, and asthma, as it has expectorant and soothing properties.

It is also used to relieve arthritic and rheumatic pains as well as toothache. Tinctures retain all the active ingredients of the herb, are particularly simple to take, and are completely natural. They undoubtedly surpass dietary supplements in pill form, as they do not contain chemicals and preservatives and are absorbed much more effectively by the body.

Herbal tinctures are very potent and for this reason, they should be consumed according to their instructions. The usual dosage is 0.5-1ml (approximately 10-20 drops per day). They should not be consumed during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

The coltsfoot tincture is manufactured in Greece under the strictest European standards and exclusively using pure and tested raw materials. Origin: Greece. Imathia Prefecture.
