Good build quality, but much too large. Anyone with a small palm shouldn’t even consider it. It has the usual side buttons, as well as the absolutely essential left and right scroll-wheel clicks for me. The scroll wheel has two types of scrolling—roughly like Logitech’s: free-spinning and ratcheted, activated by pressing a button directly above it. It has an internal battery—with good battery life—that charges via a USB-C port. It connects either via Bluetooth or with a USB receiver (which is located under the base cover). It isn’t silent, and its buttons felt quite stiff to me. To activate them, you have to press at the very edges, and to do that—because its arch is high—your palm has to rest entirely on it, which means shifting your hand to reach the rear side button with your thumb (the so-called X1). It comes with HP’s classic—and good—software (HP Accessory Center) for programming the buttons, adjusting the DPI, and monitoring the mouse’s status. A good mouse, but very large and not all that comfortable—at least to my taste—when it comes to the buttons.
Update 1: The mouse works continuously for over 10 hours a day, with precision and accurate tracking. It is indeed large (very large), but its quality also seems high. I’m adding one star. I’ll update if I encounter any reliability issues

Very good construction especially for users with large palms who want something comfortable. The whole experience with the HP accessory center application gets a low rating, as it cannot recognize any HP product. So practically what can you do with an expensive mouse without the option to customize it.
