Compass for map used in the following way:

  • Place the compass with its long side on the map in a horizontal position, parallel to the route line you want to follow.
  • Rotate the compass so that the "N" points to the north of the map or the lines of the capsule are parallel to the lines of the map.
  • The indication of the compass shows your course in degrees.
  • Turn your body while holding the compass so that the red part of the needle points to the "N", meaning it is above the arrow of the red capsule.
  • Now the arrow on the plate shows your course. Take a mark on this course, e.g., a tree, and proceed.
