Well, what they show in the picture is not the case at all, the mold doesn't have that depth. Honestly, I can say it doesn't bake them in record time, but it is faster than the 600w one I had, with a finer result. It does hold the mixture quite easily within limits, just needs a bit of attention, and it also has the channel for any accidents. Time will tell how long it will last, it's hard to keep it closed while it rises, you burn yourself and it tends to open as you press, it's an ergonomic issue. I don't think it's worth 5 stars for 40€, I'm satisfied but...

For more even cooking, preheating at maximum temperature is needed and then cooking at medium, although the process is relatively slow that way. To save time, cooking at maximum temperature helps a lot, but the top surface of the waffle comes out more cooked than the bottom. Even so, the result is very satisfactory!
