I put them in a Geox shoe that breathes, yes, but only through the holes underneath, with bamboo socks. My foot did not smell, although the socks and the shoe play an important role. In other conditions I don't know how it would work. Compared to the shoe's original insoles, they are a little shorter in length, thinner at the back in width, and thinner in thickness, with the result that my foot slips inside and so does the insole. It did not suit me. Ask the store to measure them for you on top of the packaging and compare them with your original ones.
