Essentially, the Razer Blackwidow V3 is the wired version of the Razer Blackwidow V3 Pro, which is why it costs less, around 135 euros compared to the Pro model's 225 euros. It has a very good build quality and decent ergonomics, as it comes with a wrist rest and can also be adjusted in tilt, in two levels, for a more comfortable typing experience.

It comes with two types of switches, the Razer Yellow and Green. The first ones are quiet when pressed and do not require much force to activate, and they also have a short activation distance, making them ideal for gaming but not as good for typing, as it is easy to accidentally activate the wrong key. If you want to hear the click confirmation every time you press a key, then you should go for the green switches, which are equivalent to Cherry MX Blue. Note that these switches are clicky but ideal for typing.

The Razer Blackwidow V3 is definitely not a budget mechanical keyboard, but it has high build quality and offers a choice between gaming and more office-oriented switches (Yellow and Green). I found it very comfortable during my testing, and the Razer control program, Synapse, is quite good and you won't need a PhD to work with it (unlike the equivalent program from Corsair).

I would have liked it to have a wrist rest that attaches either magnetically or through a mechanism on the main body of the keyboard, and also to come with a detachable cable. USB passthrough and possibly headphone jacks would definitely be welcome, although they would significantly increase the size of the connection cable.

For those of you who don't want a full-size keyboard, there is also a Tenkeyless version available, without the numeric keypad.

PROS
• High build quality
• Two types of switches (yellow and blue)
• Keys with good feel (blue switches)
• Separate multimedia keys and volume wheel
• Game mode to lock the Windows key during gameplay
• Each key can be programmed for macros
• Customizable RGB lighting

CONS
• Quite high price (like most Razer products, unfortunately)
• Does not have a detachable cable
• The wrist rest should have been magnetic, at least
• No software version for Linux and macOS

I have been using Razer for years, always the same problems.
Awful software with continuous issues, buttons that after the first year double register or do not work, cheap construction.

Very good keyboard, I use it for gaming and coding development, I haven't had any issues with the keys as others mention in their reviews, the only negative is that the wrist rest/plastic they provide for your hands doesn't snap in anywhere, you just place it on top of the keyboard, which didn't make sense to me but it is what it is.

Very good and economical for its category, bought at €112. So far I have nothing negative to say, only positive things. I don't understand the negative comments about this particular product; it doesn't double-type and all the keys work, so probably the gentlemen who are complaining happened to get a few faulty pieces.

It is a nice keyboard but I have some issues. First and foremost, very often the Ctrl key stays pressed, not physically but software-wise. For example, I click on a link and instead of opening it in the tab I'm in, it opens it in another one, and then I realize that it has indeed remained pressed and I have to press it again to release it. Of course, it doesn't only do this for links, it does it everywhere and it is very annoying. And the second issue is that if you don't install Razer's software, you can't do much with the macro lighting, etc.

Very bad choice for this money. Until now, apart from Razer headphones, I hadn't acquired any other Razer peripherals. After years of use from 2016 to 2024, a keyboard with Cherry MX Red switches from a brand unknown to me that was made for an e-sports team (beast), I decided not to have many programs on the computer and to make my keyboard Razer as well. At first, it had some double presses, then it stopped, after 4 months the LEDs started burning out, I didn't pay much attention as I didn't particularly care, in the last few days sometimes the Esc key wouldn't work, sometimes the Tab, and now the Shift, Z, and often the Ctrl keys don't work at all. The bad thing for me is that believing it was a humidity issue in the environment (I live on an island), I tried to dry it with a hairdryer a bit, resulting in the keys being slightly (almost not at all) deformed at that point. As you can understand, I lost the warranty on my own, but the keyboard is terrible.

Unfortunately, the worst thing I have ever bought... Keyboard 148 euros and after 4 months the keys stopped working. Reset to Reset every time I open the computer hoping it will work. Such a shame... it was the last RAZER I bought...

4/5 while I gave it a good rating, why?

Because maybe I came across a problematic keyboard where specifically many times the buttons were not being pressed correctly, other times the "Tab" key was constantly being pressed. Unfortunately, afterwards the buttons had some printing issues, and the worst part is that I used it the least.

I had the keyboard for almost a year and from the first day it showed this problem. Luckily, I could replace it because it was within the warranty of the store where I bought it.

Besides that, even though I wouldn't rate it but only give a heads up as a tip, is that Razer Central & Razer Synapse were exhausting until I could set up what I wanted in terms of button lighting and all related settings. I have gone through Logitech, Corsair, Coolermaster, and now the next keyboard I have is SteelSeries and its software was much easier to manage.

This is one of the best wired keyboards you can buy, with amazing build quality and performance. The only complaint I have is that the wrist rest is made of plastic and doesn't have a magnet, so it easily detaches from the keyboard. Also, the price can be quite high, depending on the period. Nevertheless, it remains a fantastic keyboard that you won't regret purchasing.

I have it for about 10 days, and I can say that it has a very comfortable feel and "effortless" typing. I don't use the wristpad, so I don't see anything negative about this keyboard. Now, its price is indeed high, but you get what you pay for.

Keyboard dream come true. Enjoy typing and hearing the clicks, enjoy seeing it change colors with the various chroma profiles, and most importantly, it's comfortable for the hands with the wonderful WristPad. I don't know, it hasn't bothered me at all that it's not stuck somewhere. Among the very positive aspects are all the programs it includes.

If you are in the process of buying the BlackWidow V3, it should be among your options.
    Positives:
    Very good build quality
The Media Key Buttons are user-friendly and better than the Elite's
The keys and switches (Razer Green) are truly on another level (the sound is even clickier!)
    Fast response
    Negatives:
The Wristpad is not magnetic and easily moves.
The space for cable routing is a bit small and makes it difficult to pass the cable through, but this can be overlooked as it is a one-time process.

Just a year after, it has completely failed, I cry my money, like all Razer products.
The buttons don't respond for any reason... factory reset every now and then, constant cleaning, remap the left alt because it never works and pray to all the gods of the universe for it to work... I just cry my money. Everything I've bought from Razer is just garbage, you pay for design and not quality. I would have been better off using my slipper as a keyboard.

Objectively, I had bought it for 80 euros on Black Friday in 2019, I still have it and it is satisfactory but not for its price. The only thing worth it is the magnetic cushion that sticks to the keyboard. When I removed it, it was just a regular 20 euro keyboard. I don't criticize it, I liked it and now I am sharing my experience with you because I happened to see the price and I was shocked. Instead of being cheaper, it is more expensive than it was 3 years ago.

Everything is fine in general, but if the plastic for the hands was magnetically detachable it would be perfect.

UPDATE: I am removing one star because about every 3 months the keyboard gets stuck and some keys don't work at all or I get double and triple letters and I need to disconnect and reconnect it for it to unstick.

The keyboard is very good. Expensive indeed, but worth it for a mechanical one. It definitely makes a lot of noise, so you might need a second one for everyday use (it's also very loud on calls, it might bother others if you play with voice chat). I would like a slightly more flexible cable, but that's a minor issue, the media keys are very convenient. Ideally, I would prefer quieter switches, but unfortunately Razer doesn't offer them in the quartz series, neither in the Black Widow nor in the Huntsman. I chose the Black Widow because of the media keys, the Huntsman definitely has better responsiveness but the sound is the same. The wrist rest is just plastic, not soft, and it doesn't even connect with a magnet, you just place it on. I definitely recommend it for gaming and fast typing, as long as you don't bother others in the same space.

I am generally very satisfied, it is a great upgrade from my previous keyboard. The only thing I want to say is that the pictures of the pink keyboard are misleading, up close it is much darker

  • Very good keyboard, I use it for gaming and coding development, I haven't had any issues with the keys as others mention in their reviews, the only negative is that the wrist rest/plastic they provide for your hands doesn't snap in anywhere, you just place it on top of the keyboard, which didn't make sense to me but it is what it is.

  • Very good and economical for its category, bought at €112. So far I have nothing negative to say, only positive things. I don't understand the negative comments about this particular product; it doesn't double-type and all the keys work, so probably the gentlemen who are complaining happened to get a few faulty pieces.

  • I have been using Razer for years, always the same problems.
Awful software with continuous issues, buttons that after the first year double register or do not work, cheap construction.
