Operation: The end of the rod is made of a central spike with a spring around it. The battery, switch, buzzer (inside the base), pin, and spring are connected to each other to create an electrical circuit. The rod acts as an additional switch in the circuit. When you touch the sides of the rail with the rod, the spring bends and touches the pin. This completes the circuit, allowing the electric current to pass through the buzzer and operate.
