Quality construction compared to the plastic of other companies. Those who are pianists will love it for the feel of the keys compared to anything else available in its category. Very good for a start.

I bought it for amateur use for music production. It is a nice midi keyboard/controller that is relatively user-friendly. In terms of quality, I expected it to be better based on the reviews I have seen, but it is not bad at all. It is touch-sensitive, but personally, I cannot make use of this function because it does not have the desired result. Since pads are important to me, maybe in the future I will try the Akai mpk, which theoretically has better ones. Otherwise, it is a user-friendly and good tool with amazing software and a suite of products that opens up many creative possibilities, even for users with little or no knowledge of music theory. The version of Ableton that comes with the Minilab is more of a demo of the program. If you plan on using this specific DAW, be prepared that you will not be able to use any external plug-ins that you already have.

After one year of ownership, I have the following to say.

Positives:
- Overall build quality is very good.
- The keys have a very nice feel compared, for example, to the plasticky feel of the AKAI MPK Mini.
- The touchpad for pitch shift-modulation has a perfectly fine response, very functional (although I wasn't expecting it).

Negatives:
- The endless knobs have a delay and are not very accurate.
- The pads are very stiff and require quite a bit of force to be triggered.
- Heavier than I expected.

I would say it's mediocre to good.

Excellent product. I use it on Linux - Ubuntu, 20.04 LTS - and the situation is as follows:
1. On the one hand, it is clear that Arturia's native programs are not designed for Linux, nor are they compatible with Wine - at least not with this one; I have seen various people have the appropriate firmware, but in general, it does not work well.
2. On the other hand, its connection and management, through other open source software, such as LMMS, for example, is quite simple and straightforward, without any difficulty - both the keys and the knobs and pads work with good response.
3. So far, no problem has appeared from using it in a Linux environment, even if it is not natively designed for such operating systems.

Sturdy, solid build, beautiful design and incredibly functional.
I had it for 3 years and it never disappointed me. I sold it because I upgraded and not because I had a bad opinion of the product.
By far the best mini keyboard controller out there.
The only complaint I have heard from some people is that some knobs don’t seem to turn normally. Mine had a bit of stiffness in one or two knobs on the first day, but as soon as I handled them and turned them back and forth several times, they started working normally too.
(with a little research I had done back then, the issue was some lubricant around the knobs on new devices. By turning all the knobs several times continuously and with some force, the issue is resolved.)
It had also taken 2 little falls, as well as plenty of dust with cigarette smoke. But until I sold it, it worked like the first day I got it.

Excellent product.

Initially I was determined to buy the Akai MPK, but when I discovered this particular MIDI keyboard I immediately changed my mind.
It has a large sound bank, it is easy to use, beautiful and very practical! For its price, it is the best choice!

The keys are very good, and so are the response and the velocity, and the feel. However, if someone wants it for the drum pads, they should look elsewhere. The Akai Mini, for example, has better pads but worse keys..

If the drum pads had better response, I would give 5 stars.

Worth it in many ways.
The feel of the keys and its build quality, for this money I consider it to be the best. It doesn't compare with the Akai Mini I had.

One of the best MIDI controllers in this category, the keys are like professional keyboards and are very comfortable to play. The pads are good, but not so good for playing drums because they are in a straight line and the pads are not stable. This MinLab is made by Arturia, which has the best synth VST programs (Arturia V Collection). Along with this MIDI keyboard, it gives you Analog Lab for free. Simply perfect with amazing key response. The pads are incredible. Very good build quality, nothing like the plastic feel of the Akai MPK.

Very convenient MIDI controller and, being a user of Arturia software, it is very handy because it has direct controller integration and you can use it fully.
The build quality is excellent! It doesn't take up much space on the desk. The pitch and mod wheel are touch-sensitive and are more convenient than the mechanical ones on other devices.
The only negatives I find are that the sensitivity is not very high and the pads are a little hard, but that is a matter of getting used to.
I would definitely recommend it to someone who wants a good MIDI controller at a good price.

Absolutely flawless, the software is amazing (Analog Lab Lite and Ableton Live Lite), perfect for all those nostalgic for 70s, 80s, and 90s synths.

Very good midi. Its sensitivity is fine on the keys but on the pads I am not very satisfied because sometimes it does not realize that I am pressing it and they are a little smaller than I expected but it is a matter of habit. Also it is indeed a little heavy but it does not matter because again it is portable. Very good for someone who wants to make the big step to go to a midi keyboard and for its price it is worth it.
