Give a vintage look to any wooden furniture or object using wax. The wax paste is applied between two layers of acrylic paints, without altering their brightness due to its transparency.
- Apply the first color (base) to the wooden surface and let it dry.
- Apply the wax paste as if you are rubbing the surface.
- Apply the second color you have chosen.
- Use sandpaper to rub the areas where you want the first color (base) to show through.
- The wax will increase the adhesion of the second color, resulting in the second color easily “coming off” in the areas where it is rubbed.
- The result is more “natural”, almost similar to the “chipping” of paint when a piece of furniture is left outdoors for a long time.
