Description

The HI758 seawater calcium checker bridges the gap between simple chemical test kits and professional instrumentation. Chemical test kits have limited accuracy and resolution, as they rely on the human eye to discern color differences. 

Professional instruments incorporate a light source such as an LED or tungsten lamp with a filter and a light detector for precise determination of absorption and ion concentration. Professional instruments provide higher resolution and accuracy, but they are expensive. The HI758 seawater calcium checker uses a fixed wavelength LED and a photodiode detector to provide the accuracy of professional instruments at an affordable price of a chemical test kit.
