    Answer: No. It is better. It is transparent and allows the floor underneath to be visible.

    The bottom side is smooth and suctioned to the floor (especially if it is smooth as well).
    Once you lay it on the floor, it takes a few days to flatten and become one with it. In the meantime, you need to be very careful because it is "sneaky" and slips dangerously.
