Description

The Eris Sub8 is the first sub to join the Eris studio monitors series. It was named Eris because it was designed from the ground up to be part of the family. It complements the timbre and frequency response of the modern classics Eris.

Of course, it will play well with other monitors, but if you already have a pair of Eris at home or in your studio, the Eris Sub8 is the best subwoofer you can match with your existing setup!

Maximize frequency response and detail

The powerful Eris Sub8 with 100 Watts drops to 30 Hz, which is 50 Hz lower than the Eris 3.5s. This allows you to rock harder and produce better mixes, as you will hear an extremely accurate reproduction of your work. Especially for EDM and hip-hop producers, a sub is essential. The Eris Sub8 allows you to naturally extend the range of the Eris E3.5 or E4.5 monitors in a way that is suitable for smaller rooms, exactly where these monitors excel.

Absolute control and connectivity

Thanks to the well-designed I/O, you will be able to customize the configuration of the Eris Sub8 exactly to your mixing and listening needs. You can connect your monitors via ¼” TRS or RCA, adjust the input level according to your preferences, and even reverse the polarity.

Most importantly, you have a High Pass filter and a Low Pass Crossover control that ensures your Eris Sub8 starts operating at the exact low-frequency point where your main monitors stop operating. This ensures that you avoid the muddy and problematic low-frequency dispersion that occurs in subs without a crossover.

The problem with this subwoofer is the exhaust, which is located at the front. At high volume, the sound of the air "whistling" is noticeable. For its 50W and price, it is of good quality for room use.

I had purchased the Presonus Eris E3.5. I don't make music, but I wanted the music I listen to be crystal clear. The Eris 3.5 achieves this in the mid and high frequencies at a very good level. However, what they were missing was the bass, so that the sound could be richer. This sub does exactly what it should, it takes care of the low frequencies and leaves the mid-high frequencies for the Eris 3.5. In a way, it "relaxes" them, resulting in the sound after purchasing this sub to be louder, richer, with punchy, clean bass and not like the dirty bass (boom-boom) you hear from every Honda Civic passing by your neighborhood (no offense). In combination with the Focusrite Scarlett Solo sound card, at the moment the music is the best I have ever heard. Because everything together is expensive for some, I would advise buying them piece by piece, it really is worth the investment for those who are crazy about music and want to exceed the quality of classic commercial speakers.

Excellent sub, it elevated the eris 5 to new heights. I have chosen it mainly for listening when I am sitting at the office. The best 2.1 system you can create for this amount of money.
