The Batwing was Batman's custom aerial vehicle. The aircraft was fully armed with small weapons and missiles. It is unknown where the vehicle was stored, but it was most likely kept somewhere near the grounds of Wayne Manor or the Batcave.

The idea of Batman owning and flying a "Bat-" themed aircraft has existed in comics since 1939, while the 1989 Batman film introduced the classification "Batwing" for the first time. The movie's Batwing was also the first of all bat-aircrafts to be schematically shaped according to the bat emblem.
