We went to the hospital with our baby due to a measurement error -> 39 degrees. The instructions state that the measurement should be taken from a distance of 1 to 5 cm. At this distance, it constantly showed a temperature of 37.5-38 degrees and above for both of our babies, while in reality they had a temperature of 36.3-36.6!!!!!! It always shows a temperature that is 1 to 2 degrees higher. The medical protocol for babies states that even if you take the temperature once and it is 38.50-39 degrees, the baby should be examined. So we ended up in the hospital where we stayed for 4 days for a complete check-up. While the baby was in the hospital, I did tests on the other baby, on myself, and on other adults and found that the thermometer measures 1-2 degrees higher. I note that I followed the instructions to the letter and with diligence because I was impressed by such a large deviation for a reputable thermometer. (to stay at room temperature for 30 minutes before measurement, etc.)

Οι οδηγίες γράφουν η μέτρηση να γίνετε από απόσταση 1 εώς 5 εκ. Σε αυτή την απόσταση έδειχνε συνέχεια και στα 2 μωρά μας από 37.5-38 και πάνω ενώ στην πραγματικότητα είχαν 36.3-36,6!!!!!! Δείχνει δηλαδή πάντα απο 1 εώς 2 βαθμούς πιο υψηλή θερμοκρασία. Το ιατρικό πρωτόκολλο για τα μωρά λέει πως ακόμα και μια φορά να πάρεις θερμοκρασία 38,50-39 το μωρό πρέπει να εξεταστεί. Έτσι καταλήξαμε στο νοσοκομείο όπου μείναμε 4 ημέρες για να γίνει πλήρης έλεγχος. Όσο το μωρό ήταν νοσοκομείο έκανα δοκιμές στο άλλο μωρό στον εαυτό μου και σε άλλους ενήλικες και διαπίστωσα πως το θερμόμετρο μετράει 1-2 βαθμός πιο πάνω. Σημειώνω πως ακολούθησα τις οδηγίες κατά γράμμα και με ευλάβεια γιατί μου έκανε εντύπωση η τόσο μεγάλη απόκλιση για ένα επώνυμο θερμόμετρο. (να μείνει σε θερμοκρασία δωματίου για 30 λεπτά πριν την μέτρηση κτλ).
For adult temperature measurement it's okay.. but it's not reliable for children's temperature measurement which is also the most important.. I have a 2-month-old baby.. and every time I measured, it gave a different result.. even when there was no fever, it showed one time 38.3.. the other time 39.. at the same time 36.. completely unreliable for children..

At a normal distance from the forehead, it never showed the correct temperature and constantly displayed different values. I don't know how it can be so unreliable. At the same distance, with consecutive measurements, it showed 35.9, then 37.5, and immediately after 36.9. You can't trust it at all. And I have it at room temperature to supposedly get accurate measurements. I thought with the name it has, I would be satisfied, but it's terrible.
