Description

The drives connect with incredible ease compared to SATA-USB enclosures as no tools are required for unscrewing the case or other time-consuming processes. The data transfer speed reaches 5Gbps (USB 3.0) and the advanced ASM1153E chipset combined with the supported UASP protocol significantly improves data transfer performance. It is plug and play and does not require drivers or any other software to operate, while being compatible with Windows / Mac OS / Linux.

I connected it to the laptop and tried three drives.
One was a faulty SSD (OCZ vertex series) as it turned out, and that was essentially the main reason I bought the adapter, so I could temporarily connect a drive to the laptop.

The second was a Corsair SSD, the laptop recognized it immediately and the transfer of large folders ran at a speed of 1.9 GB/sec (237 Gbyte/sec).

The third was an older 2.5-inch Samsung HD, and the transfer of large folders ran at a speed of 1.1 GB/sec (140 Gbyte/sec).

In short, I am absolutely satisfied with the adapter in terms of compatibility, operating speed, and price.

I tried to connect two bootable hard drives to my laptop (HP ZBook Studio G5): an SSD with Ubuntu and an HDD with Windows. The first one booted successfully the first time, but from the second time onwards, my laptop completely stopped recognizing it without me changing anything. The second drive seems to be "seen" (or at least some segments of it) but it cannot boot and gives errors. I tried changing the settings of my machine regarding UEFI/Legacy mode boot, but nothing worked. The same drives boot successfully when connected with a SATA cable to another machine.

I bought 3 to put SSDs on Raspberry Pi, 2 out of the 3 broke, the first one within 5 minutes, the second one after 3 days of use, and now I'm waiting for the last one. Defective batch? Faulty product? I won't buy it again, anyway.

It really achieves the promised speeds and does not overheat. I use it with a constantly working 8TB SSD and everything is fine.

Plug & play. Extremely fast and stable. I even connected my mobile phone and it read the SSD Evo 850 like an SD card.

Suddenly, today on 20/3/2022, it stopped being recognized by any device I connect it to.

It works perfectly. I connected a TeamGroup CX2 SSD 512GB and they work together perfectly.
