I bought this specific leash for my dog, clearly and only because it was the most economical option at 8m. (30€) The previous one I had was just a 1m leash, which made our walks tiring for both me and my dog. So our walks were somewhat of a hassle, as we were pulling each other every five steps... Therefore, the solution was to get a leash with an extension because others recommended that a 3-5m leash would help so that we wouldn't be on top of each other and to give the dog the feeling that he is free...

The reel that winds and unwinds the strap is of quite good quality as it is not a cheap plastic like others may have... It also retracts in a fraction of a second even in the case it gets stuck somewhere or tangles, you can easily untangle it. Personally, because I want to keep the strap clean and well-maintained, once a month I completely unwind the strap and wipe it with a cloth dampened with white vinegar and baking soda! This way, I keep the strap looking like new, bright, and in its fluorescent color, almost as it was purchased! Although the strap extends up to 8m, it does not cause any discomfort. It doesn't tire or strain the user's hand. The next leash that reaches up to 10m, I think has a noticeable difference in weight..
