I have been using these specific filters in Athens for 8 years, the water does not smell like chlorine at all and it lasts about 10 months for a family of 4, but I have a dishwasher, without it it would last half as long.

Here in Lamia, the tap water is excellent anyway. However, there is a strong chlorine smell, and this is the main reason I use the MATRIKX CTO. The water comes out perfect after filtration, and there is no trace of chlorine smell, nor does it alter the proper taste of the water. Also, even on the day of its replacement (after 1 year), the flow remains just as good. Perfect for the job I need it for and at a very good price too!

It definitely cuts odors and strange tastes. But mainly the chlorine, which I can't stand at all. Overall, I feel the water is clean and crystal clear.

Although the water here in Lamia is excellent, I use a filter mainly for the chlorine and generally for the taste. It is inexpensive, does its job perfectly, and has excellent flow even when it's time for a change after 1 year.

The filter is excellent. The strange taste and smell of the tap water stopped immediately. With the first glass of water, you can notice the difference. Personally, I change one every 6 months, depending on the usage of each household

My stinginess to get a cheap filter!!!! After using an eiger filter with antimicrobial protection, I bought this one and regretted it. The water smells like rotten eggs after 2 days. No matter how much I let it run, the smell doesn't go away. The store told me that it's logical that I can't drink the water when I switch to this specific filter from what I had before. Get something a little better.

It is the best thing I have bought..... just let it run for 5 minutes..... if it lasts me 6 months, it's perfect.....

I have bought the same company's filter at 1μm before, but after 2-3 months, the water pressure would drop, obviously because it started to clog. With the 5μm filter, the pressure remains stable and the taste of the water is good. I can now say that I can taste/smell the chlorine when I drink water from another unfiltered source in Athens, where I live.

Quality materials, effectiveness in water taste, I would buy it again, quality-price ratio...............
For what it claims and for its price, it is very decent.
It does its job perfectly, without altering the taste of the water.

4 stars because I am still waiting for it to come back from America. I have been using it for over 10 years and I am completely satisfied. At some point, I will proceed with an analysis, just to be absolutely sure, and then I will come back.

It is the third Matrikx filter that I have purchased and I am satisfied. I use it in a countertop filter. I tried to keep the filter for over 6 months and I noticed that the taste of the water changed, with consumption not exceeding the limits of family use. I recommend it.

I think it does its job perfectly, without altering the taste of the water.

Since I don't have a problem with dirt to put a thread filter, I think it helps a lot the basic filter

On its own, it does not change the smell and taste of the water. However, it is ideal as a pre-filter so that a denser filter like the 0.5μm does not clog quickly.

Very good filter, be careful at the beginning it tastes bitter, fill a bucket with at least the initial water and then start drinking.
In 2-4 days it will not taste bitter at all.
Anyone with a good nose and a good tongue to understand flavors will understand the difference with a filter and without a filter.
