Petit Verdot is a rare variety mainly found in Bordeaux and southwestern France. It usually participates in a small percentage, around 2-5%, in the blending of Bordeaux wines and adds tannins, color, and spicy notes. In recent years, there have been several efforts to produce it as a single-variety wine. In Greece, there have been minimal attempts to cultivate Petit Verdot, a variety that is resistant to warm climates but requires special attention.
Konstantinos Pyrgakis cultivates this demanding variety with love and great care, resulting in the creation of a rare and unique wine with very limited production, only 900 bottles. A wine that must certainly be tasted by enthusiasts of the variety, as well as those who wish to better understand the potential of this variety.
