DENIER: DENIER is the unit of measurement for the thickness of the yarn used to make tights and stockings. The lower the DENIER number, the thinner and more transparent the tights or stockings. Conversely, the higher the number, the thicker it is and the less skin shows. There are also opaque tights and stockings, at 50 and 100 den, where the skin is almost not visible.
