It may be made of faux leather (and not real leather) but it is well-designed, it can hold many office supplies (besides writing supplies) and it doesn't take up much space on the desk. The drawer doesn't have much depth (as one would expect from the design) and if you pull it out enough, it comes out completely, but it is deep and very convenient for small items.
