I bought this particular product for nostalgic reasons. As a soldier 30 years ago, I remember having something similar to use the spoon, fork, and knife during our outdoor camps. It served me well back then, so I chose the same product for camping...
Great improvements since then! Excellent construction and design. AlpinPro has taken it to the next level.
The main thing that left me speechless is the fact that the handle can be separated into two parts. So you can have the fork in one hand and the knife in the other. Essential for easy handling, depending on which utensil you want to use.
The materials are sturdy and seem like they will withstand the test of time (although I would have liked the knife to be a bit sharper, but that can be fixed with sharpening). Their metal is soft but durable, after all, we don't buy Victorinox for eating while camping.
The carrying case is great. I never remember having a carrying case for something like this in the past.
For anyone preparing for camping or for a soldier who wants to have the utensils with them, it is an excellent choice.
5 stars from me for its ergonomics and excellent usability.
