In the region of Kefalas, in the east of Chania Prefecture, the Winery was established by Andreas Dourakis, who has knowledge in wine production from studies in Germany and experience in wineries in Greece and abroad.
The winery opened its doors in '88 and is located within the village of Alikambos. Its current location was chosen for the natural beauty of the area and the rocky soil, which provides natural cellars for the storage and aging of the wines. The unique microclimate of the White Mountains also contributed to the choice of location.
The Dourakis family creates wines inspired by the Cretan land and its varieties, in an environment of unique natural beauty.
