The vineyard at the location of Plakoura is a particularly privileged slope at an altitude of 500 meters, with sandy-stony soil. The cup-shaped configuration of the vineyard, combined with the northeast orientation and ample sunshine, ensures the optimal ripeness of the grape at harvest time. Mantilari is a variety believed to have great potential, having already completed five years of experiments at this specific vineyard. The 2007 harvest achieved exceptionally low land yields, thus managing to produce a dense aromatic wine with: - Deep red color - Excellent structure - Great aging potential The earthy and fleshy character of the rich tannins is complemented by the intense taste of plum and blackberry jam.
