Apart from a 100Ah 840A starting battery, which ended up drawing even 12A, I also connected one that was completely "dead" and on the multimeter it showed 1.5A. Indeed, at first it seemed like it wasn't drawing any current, but I plugged in a meter and noticed that it was drawing a little. Even if it was half an amp. Gradually the number increased and at some point the fan also started. The battery woke up normally. So even if it says 100%, it delivers some amps, it just doesn't exceed a certain threshold for the indicator to show and for the fan to start. Εκτός μιας μπαταρίας 100Ah 840A εκκίνησης, η οποία έφτασε να τραβάει και 12Α, έβαλα και μια που ήταν τελείως "ψοφια" και στο πολύμετρο έδινε 1.5 Α.
Πράγματι στην αρχή φάνηκε σαν να μην τραβάει ρεύμα, έβαλα όμως έναν μετρητή στην πρίζα και παρατήρησα ότι κάτι λίγο έπαιρνε. Έστω και μισό αμπέρ. Σταδιακά ο αριθμός μεγάλωνε και κάποια στιγμή ξεκίνησε και το αμεμιστηρακι. Η μπαταρία ξύπνησε κανονικά. Οπότε ακόμα και αν λέει 100% δίνει κάποια αμπέρ απλώς δεν ξεπερνάνε κάποιο όριο για να δείξει η ένδειξη και να ξεκινήσει ο ανεμιστήρας.
το ποσοστό που δίνει ως επίπεδο μπαταρίας είναι συνάρτηση των αμπέρ. μην του δίνετε και πολύ σημασία.

Good charger for its price. In heavy use, it lasted about 4 years. Permanently connected to a large 12-volt 140 Ah battery that I use as a backup in case of power outage. It always kept the battery charged without overcharging it. When it reached 100%, it entered a maintenance process.
Unfortunately, all good things don't last forever and our charger gave up on us. In the photos, it can be seen that some components couldn't handle the heavy workload and "burned out". Luckily, they didn't catch fire, they just smelled burnt and the charger died.
I had other chargers of this category, but this was the only one that reached the true 10 Amps in the charging process and, when reaching full charge, it lowered the Amps so as not to strain the battery. It also immediately restarted and continued charging after a power outage.
Even though it burned out after 4 years of continuous operation, I ordered it again because it served me perfectly all this time. If the new one lasts another 4 years, I will be equally happy.
For someone who needs it to occasionally charge batteries, it is the best.

Πάντα στην πρίζα κρατούσε την μπαταρία φορτισμένη χωρίς να την υπερφορτώνει. Όταν έφτανε στο 100% έμπαινε σε διαδικασία συντήρησης.
Δυστυχώς όμως όλα τα ωραία δεν κρατάνε αιώνια και ο φορτιστής μας άφησε χρόνους.
Στις φωτό φαίνεται ότι κάποια εξαρτήματα δεν άντεξαν το βαρύ έργο και "τσιγαρίστηκαν". Ευτυχώς δεν πήραν φωτιά αλλά απλώς μύρισαν καμένο και ο φορτιστής απεβίωσε.
Είχα και άλλους φορτιστές αυτής της κατηγορίας, αλλά αυτός ήταν ο μόνος που έφτανε τα πραγματικά 10 Amps στη διαδικασία φόρτισης και φθάνοντας στην πλήρη φόρτιση χαμήλωνε τα Amps ώστε να μην ζορίζει την μπαταρία. Επίσης έκανε άμεσα επανεκκίνηση και συνέχιζε την φόρτιση μετά από διακοπή ρεύματος.
Αν και κάηκε μετά από 4 χρόνια συνεχούς λειτουργίας τον ξαναπαράγγειλα γιατί με εξυπηρέτησε άψογα για όλο αυτόν τον καιρό. Αν βγάλει και ο καινούργιος άλλα 4 χρόνια θα είμαι εξίσου χαρούμενος.
Για κάποιον που τον χρειάζεται για να φορτίζει περιστασιακά μπαταρίες είναι ο καλύτερος.

The charger is fantastic. I used it on car batteries as well as motorcycle batteries and it really can restore almost dead batteries to the point where they hold 80% charge. Others returned to 100%

I already had a charger from Lidl for those who know it. I had a problem with my car battery and while charging it made me wonder if the charger had an issue. So I bought this one here. In the end, the battery had a problem. But... this charger is very good for its price. Worth it!
