The white wine from the Mega Spileo Estate label is dry, aromatic with notes of white flowers (jasmine, citrus blossoms), ripe stone fruits (peach, apricot) as well as citrus fruits (lime, grapefruit, lemon). Malagousia not only has an intense aromatic character but also a very distinctive oily texture. This makes it ideal to pair with tender mollusks such as cuttlefish and squid, grilled or sautéed (to maintain their buttery texture and match that of Malagousia). If you add an aromatic sauce based on citrus fruits and herbs to the dish, the combination will be perfect. On the other hand, it can pleasantly accompany green salads and pasta with light vegetable or pesto sauces.
