It seems to cut to some extent but does not completely clean the split ends no matter how many times you go over the hair.. also I don't know the quality of the blades so as not to damage the ends.. it's not so expensive for a trial anyway

I have it for several years, it's good and I use it almost every month when I grow my hair. It is for specific hair, damaged, you wash it, straighten it to make it right, and remove split ends. Usually, I pass it 2/3 times on each thin strand.
Now, if the split end is quite long, then go for a haircut. This particular product is for hair that you maintain after a haircut if you want to let it grow, and traditionally you will go for a haircut at least every 3/4 months.
If you don't cut your hair, you won't see progress, all products help in better maintenance. Nothing more, nothing less.
