Description

Description

Aiora was the ancient Greek festival dedicated to the God Dionysus and the celebration of the annual wine revelation.

It consists of a blend of three famous Greek grape varieties:

  • Assyrtiko from Santorini and the Aegean islands (40%)
  • Xinomavro from Northern Greece (20%)
  • Native aromatic variety Malagousia (40%)

It has undergone Sur Lie winemaking, where the wine remained with the fine lees for about 4 months, while Malagousia follows natural winemaking in amphorae. The wine ferments with spontaneous indigenous yeasts from the vineyard, and no filtering is applied to preserve all its quality characteristics.

Nose full of freshness, with aromas of pear, peach, lemon, lime, white citrus blossoms, and green almond. On the palate, it has a medium body, refreshing acidity, and aromatic intensity from peach, lemon, pear, citron, lime, and grapefruit. It also exhibits the subtle minerality that mainly characterizes Assyrtiko.
