I use it in a vacuum cleaner - carpet cleaner. I put it in to clean mattresses and my hand is sore from scrubbing. I've already gone over one mattress twice and the stains remain.
What was originally in the vacuum was much, much better. I cleaned one and a half armchairs whose upholstery color we had forgotten since the kids got to them (the armchairs suffered for 4 years) and they became like new.

So, I would only recommend it for minor stains.
