    Agiorgitiko

    It can produce from rosé and light red wines with aromas of fresh red fruits (strawberry, cherry), to dense, aged wines with aromas of plum jam, spices, and chocolate. The tannins are usually velvety.

    Mavrodafni

    It gives wines with rich aromas of dried fruits (plum, raisin), caramel, chocolate, and coffee. In dry vinifications (rarer), it can produce interesting wines with a character of black fruits and spices.

    Mavrud

    Name used for various unrelated local red varieties in Greece. Generally, they tend to produce wines with a dark color and rich tannins.
